The Pediatric Hospitalist Physician provides inpatient care for children at a large, comprehensive children's hospital in Las Vegas, managing a daily census of 25-30 patients and collaborating closely with pediatric specialists. The role involves working full-time with varied shifts, participating in academic mentorship with the University of Nevada School of Medicine, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in pediatrics, possess a Nevada medical license, and have hospitalist experience.
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician to join a dynamic practice at a leading children's hospital in Las Vegas, NV. This facility is the state's largest, most comprehensive NICU and PICU, providing exceptional healthcare for children. Job Responsibilities:- Provide inpatient care as a Pediatric Hospitalist, with at least 1 year of current hospitalist work experience.
- Work a full-time schedule averaging 2016 hours annually, with varied shifts including in-house and call from home.
- Collaborate with a team of 8 Pediatric Hospitalists on a 46-bed pediatric floor.
- Manage an average daily census of 25-30 patients.
- Communicate effectively with in-house pediatric intensivists and pediatric emergency medicine physicians.
- Participate in academic affiliations with the University of Nevada School of Medicine, mentoring residents.
- Engage in a well-supported environment with a full range of pediatric sub-specialty services.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain high-quality care standards.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (Truly Board Eligible within 5 years of eligibility).
- Clean Malpractice and License History (Highly Preferred).
- Must be able to provide the last 12 months' case logs from a hospital setting during the interview.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Active Nevada medical license (or willing to obtain).
- DEA registration (must be obtained prior to start).
- CSR/CDS certification (must be obtained prior to start).
