Locum Tenens Opportunity for Emergency Medicine in North Carolina! We are seeking a dedicated and board-certified or board eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team on a locum tenens basis in the picturesque setting near Frisco, NC. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have an active North Carolina medical license and DEA registration. Job Responsibilities: Provide emergency medical services in a well-equipped facility Handle an average of 100 outpatient visits per day, equating to approximately 1.8 patients per hour Manage an inpatient census averaging 20 patients, including ICU/critical care duties Respond to emergency codes and perform standard emergency medicine procedures Collaborate with hospitalists for after-hours admissions Schedule: Evening shifts (4 PM to 2 AM): June 1, 24, 25; July 20, 27, 28, 31; Aug 15, 16, 17, 18, 27, 28; Sept 2, 3 Night shifts (9 PM to 7 AM): June 19, 20, 21, 22; July 4, 5, 6; Aug 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 28; Sept 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 Qualifications: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS Previous experience in emergency medicine preferred Proficiency in handling critical care situations and responding to codes This role offers a unique chance to work in a community known for its beautiful coastal views and welcoming atmosphere.
