Tell us about the unit(s):
· Number of Beds - 25
· Number of Staff – 40+
· Type of staff:
o Day Shift – 1 free charge, 1 UC, 2 PCTs, 5 RNs
o Night Shift – 5 RNS, 1 PCT
· Patient Ratios – 6:1, sometimes 5:1
· Type of equipment – Baxter IV Pumps, KCI wound vacs, SCD pumps
· EMR - Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
· BLS
· ACLS
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
· Meditech experience
· Telemetry experience
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
· In addition to general med/surg competencies, it is preferred that applicants can
o Manage chest tubes
o Manage non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodorone drips
o Manage weight-based heparin drips
Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
