Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical ICU night shift position in Michigan, requiring open heart training and current MI licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Medical Surgical ICU (MSICU) hospital setting
- 12-hour night shifts from 6:42 PM to 7:12 AM
- Required to work three weekend shifts per four-week scheduling period (Friday and Saturday)
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic EMR, with experience preferred
- Responsibilities include comprehensive assessment and integrated pre- and post-operative critical care functions
- Role involves organizing, coordinating, and evaluating all aspects of patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Limited to five days of requested time off
- Local travelers may complete only one travel assignment
Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license required
- Two or more years of recent SICU experience required
- Open heart training required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from AHA required
- Travel nursing experience highly preferred
- Epic experience preferred
- Not accepting candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility
