Compensation- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570 - $1680 per week

- Facility: Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- Unit: Neuro Intermediate Progressive Care Unit (19 beds)
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 13, 2025
- End Date: January 10, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Holiday Coverage: 75% of holidays during assignment
- Scrub Color: Navy

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience, including neuro patient care
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficient in lumbar drains, stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management), and PCA pumps
- Experience with medication gtt management (cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IVF, nicardipine drips)
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Ability to float within region and scope of practice as needed
- At least 1 year of overall nursing experience required
- Deliver high-quality patient care to post-operative neurosurgery and neuro PCU patients
- Monitor and manage patients with craniotomy, VP shunt, deep brain stimulators, subdural hematomas, CSF leaks, seizures, post-op spine and ENT surgery, and stroke
- Maintain RN-to-patient ratios of 1:3 for optimal clinical support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies as needed
- Float to other healthcare facilities within the designated region as required
- Participate in orientation and ongoing departmental training
- Accurately document patient care and interventions using EPIC EMR
