Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiology to provide high-quality care in our Greene County clinic and hospital settings. This role demands a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations within both clinic and inpatient environments.
• Manage and coordinate patient care, including inpatient hospital work, rounds, and consults.
• Participate in telehealth services to ensure continuity of care during inclement weather conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Order necessary cardiac tests and interpret results, providing clear communication to patients and their families regarding treatment options and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Participate in patient floor call, addressing 4-5 patient calls during weekdays and 1 weekend call per month, ensuring timely response to patient needs.
Expectations:
• The Nurse Practitioner will not be responsible for performing cardiac testing but will be instrumental in ordering these tests as part of patient management.
• Availability to work a minimum of 10 shifts per month is required.
