Are you a seasoned Network Engineer with a passion for technology and a knack for problem-solving? We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Consulting Network Engineer II. You will be at the forefront of planning, installing, integrating, and validating network software and hardware solutions. Your expertise will be vital in supporting our mission, vision, values, and strategic goals. This role is integral in maintaining and testing our high availability solutions, delivering technical solutions for network infrastructure, and providing insight to management on issues.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, develop, and propose solutions for Service Requests, Trouble Reports, and technical issues occurring in IT systems.
• Analyze system capacity and performance in both batch and on-line environments; create and maintain data and process models.
• Recommend and make systems/architecture modifications based on analysis.
• Participate in network installs, provision capabilities, and physical infrastructure for network operations.
• Implement and/or supervise the implementation of solutions; ensure or assist in addressing any network hardware and service performance issues that may be encountered.
• Recommend and implement solutions for IT system problems arising from network hardware and service constraints.
• Implement security hardware and configurations from the organization's Information Security department.
• Provide off-hour on-call support for issues; apply expertise and independent judgment to rapidly restore service.
• Coordinate and communicate with other IT staff to resolve technical issues.
• Interact and coordinate with clients and vendors to foster a satisfying customer service relationship.
• Document the technical aspects of the network environment.
• Train and mentor new members of the team in the environment and the use of support software.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Data Analysis/Statistics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a relevant business support and/or information technology support experience.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 9 years of relevant business support and/or information technology support are required.
• Working knowledge of designing, installing, maintaining, and configuring network infrastructure and applications and service providers such as AT&T required.
• Must have hands-on expertise with Cisco and/or Juniper hardware, analysis and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, cable infrastructure, and WAN circuits.
• Ability to independently plan, install, integrate, and validate network software and hardware solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other IT staff, clients, and vendors.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate obstacles to deliver work product.
• Willingness to provide off-hour on-call support for issues.
