American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department night shift position requiring trauma experience and a compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Emergency Department in a Level I Trauma Center
- Night shifts with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00
- Care for high-acuity patients in a large hospital setting
- Floating may occur between like units and nearby campuses up to 20 miles away
- Cerner EMR experience is preferred
- On-call and weekend coverage are required as needed
- Primary responsibilities include providing emergency nursing care to trauma and acute patients
- Holiday coverage is required, including willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if they fall during assignment
- Returning employees must have a one-year separation before reapplying as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be included at the time of application; post-offer requests will not be considered
- Team environment with experienced support staff
- No block scheduling is accommodated except potentially for weekends
- Proof of vaccination status may be required
- Active TN or compact RN license required, with no pending licensure accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience; 3 years preferred
- Level I Trauma Center experience is required
- Previous travel assignment completion required; no first-time travelers accepted unless 3+ years recent ED experience
- Driver’s license required for consideration
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Compliance with NLC guidelines required
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
