Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact, as applicable)
• Minimum of 1 year recent OB/L&D nursing experience (preferred)
• BLS required
• ACLS, NRP, and/or AWHONN certifications preferred (or required per facility)

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
• Provide nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum phases
• Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered
• Operate and monitor fetal heart rate monitoring systems
• Educate patients and families on labor progression, pain management options, and postpartum care
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and complications
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
