Job Function:
- Day Shift.
- 9am - 4:30pm.
- Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team, coordinating and implementing healthcare services for assigned residences.
- Develop and revise individualized health care plans in collaboration with physicians and the team.
- Provide staff training on medical administration, infection control, first aid, and other necessary health care topics.
- Manage communicable diseases and infections, ensuring proper protocols and staff training.
- Monitor and ensure proper medication administration, including supervising AMAP certified staff and overseeing prescribed medication.
- Schedule and track medical appointments, ensuring follow-up and implementing physician recommendations.
- Supervise and train Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and less experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) on best practices and agency policies.
Job Requirements:
- 2 years of nursing experience working directly with OPWDD patients.
Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
