Locum to Perm - Physician - Invasive Cardiology
Join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals at a leading hospital in Richmond, Virginia, offering a comprehensive cardiac care program. This facility provides a unique blend of inpatient and outpatient services with a strong focus on patient-centered care. We are seeking a Board-Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist to support our growing practice, especially during the recruitment of a second physician.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in various settings including inpatient, call, outpatient, and clinic.
- Overall call ratio of 1:6 and participate in night & weekend call on a rotating basis.
- Supervise and support four Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs).
- Conduct electrocardiograms (EKGs) as a part of patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Manage an average of 10 clinic patients and 12-15 inpatient admissions per day.
- Collaborate with fellow cardiologists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Must be Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Certified.
- Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Completed an AHF Fellowship with LVAD experience.
- Valid and active Virginia medical license required.
- Must have a clean background for consideration of Temporary positions.
- Local candidates preferred, as only mileage will be reimbursed.
