Family Medicine Program Director Opportunity near Tignall, GA Specialization: Family Medicine without OB Job Summary: A healthcare organization is actively seeking a Family Medicine Program Director for their upcoming Family Medicine Residency Program. Qualified Candidates: Must be Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. Requires a minimum of 3 years of faculty experience in an ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency Program. Should have at least 3 years of GME administrative experience before appointment. Willingness to combine Administrative and Diagnostic (teaching) Responsibilities. Strong administrative and team-building skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the program and recruit their own core faculty. Candidates with recent scholarly activity, such as peer-reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles, or participation in national committees, are highly encouraged to apply. The incoming physician will receive a faculty appointment through Mercer University. About the Opportunity/Practice: This multi-specialty practice comprises over 50 providers, including 34 physicians, 10 PAs, and 12 NPs. Responsibilities involve a 50% focus on Patient Care and 50% on GME Administrative Duties. Patient demographic covers the full adult spectrum. Supervision of up to 4 mid-level providers. EMR system utilized is ECW and Athena.
