A Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner performs psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, treatment, medication management, and behavioral health education for patients at a community mental health center. The role requires development of comprehensive patient care plans and familiarity with DSM diagnostic manuals. This full-time position offers a high salary with some schedule flexibility in Central Connecticut.
Community Mental health Center in Central Connecticut is seeking a full time psychiatric nurse practitioner. This is a high paying position that does offer some flexibility of schedule.
All candidates must be able to do the following. Performs psychiatric assessments and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultation, medication management, and Behavioral Health education services to Behavioral Health patients. Ability to utilize DSM IV-TR currently and DSM V after October 1, 2015. Obtains patient histories and develops appropriate Behavioral Health patient care plans, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
