Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of experience and a current CA license for a day shift outpatient position serving adolescents through geriatrics.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an outpatient occupational therapy setting within an acute care hospital
- Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- One weekend day (typically Sunday) is required every other weekend
- Travelers may float between outpatient, acute rehab, and other inpatient units
- EMR system used is Epic
- All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed
- Returning employees must have a 3-month gap as a former perm staff and reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
- Requested time off must be included at time of consideration; substantial RTO may impact eligibility
- Dress code for therapists is not specified; scrubs for other departments are royal blue
- Free parking is available onsite
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment
Requirements
- Active CA Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of relevant OT experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic experience required
