CMD Inc is seeking a highly skilled Lead Drafter / Engineer with a strong background in custom millwork and cabinetry design. In this pivotal role, you’ll transform architectural visions into production-ready shop drawings and CNC files for luxury residential and commercial millwork. You'll lead drafting activities, support the production team, and collaborate with project stakeholders to bring high-end designs to life with precision and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
Lead drafting and engineering processes for custom cabinetry and millwork projects.
Translate architectural and interior design plans into detailed 2D/3D shop drawings.
Generate CNC-ready files, cut lists, and material take-offs using Cabinet Vision.
Modify designs as needed to reflect customer changes or project revisions.
Act as the technical liaison for the production team during fabrication and installation.
Maintain and improve CAD standards and drafting templates for quality and consistency.
Collaborate closely with project managers, installers, architects, and clients.
Identify and implement improvements in drafting accuracy and production efficiency.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in custom cabinetry, millwork, or related drafting/engineering.
Proficient with cabinetry-specific software; Cabinet Vision strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming and production workflows.
Understanding of cabinet construction techniques, materials, and finishing options.
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience mentoring junior drafters or leading drafting teams is a plus.
