Position Summary

Neurosurgery/Trauma ICU management of emergency surgery patients involving brain, neck, and spine conditions. Ideal candidates are Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants with a strong background in neuro-trauma and/or neuro-critical care.

Average Patient Load: ICU patients per provider per day

️ Duties & Required Procedures

Low/Moderate Risk Procedures:

• Laceration repair

• Peripheral IV access

• Fracture/dislocation reductions (minimal/moderate displacement)

High-Risk Procedures:

• G-tube placement

• Endotracheal intubation

• Cardioversion/defibrillation

• LMA

• Paracentesis

• Chest tubes

• Central & arterial line placement

EMR

• Cerner Care B

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certification:

  • NP: ANCC or AANP

  • PA: NCCPA

• Active State License

• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS (preferred, not a deal breaker), DEA

• Strong neurosurgery and/or neuro-critical care experience

• ️ Clean malpractice history
