The Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner provides outpatient care to oncology patients, managing follow-ups, chemotherapy education, and acting as a resource for infusion centers. The role includes performing bone marrow biopsies and may involve some inpatient responsibilities depending on provider capability. The position requires a Connecticut license and involves a variable schedule with on-call duties approximately every third weekend and one weekday.

- Variable depending on how long to credential, etc. Min 3 months effective immediately, beyond that is TBD. CT License required.
- Medical Oncologist- manage existing patient base for a provider on FMLA. His specialty is GI/GU but a generalist would certainly be considered. Benign hem also.
- APP- see follow-up oncology visits, perform chemo teaches, also a resource for emergent support for our onsite infusion centers
- Procedures or surgeries the provider will be required to perform: Bone Marrow Biopsies in-office
- Inpatient or Outpatient: outpatient but with the right provider could have inpatient component.
- Schedule or shifts needed: M-F; 8-4:30 but negotiable based on provider and availability
- On call? Ideally for the MD, yes- every 3rd weekend and 1 day per week.
