The Catering Manager oversees the planning, execution, and management of catering services and events to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include staff supervision, menu costing, event booking, and coordination with internal departments and vendors. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills with experience managing catering operations generating at least $1 million annually.
The Catering Manager is responsible for effectively selling the public space, food and beverage, and function planning and then executing services of the venue to maximize revenues and profits.
Catering Manager Responsibilities:
- To oversee the catering operations of the staff and rental equipment, set-up, preparation, service, and break down of catered foods, beverages, and events of varying sizes.
- Book events, costing menu items, and pricing as needed.
- Involved with the hiring, discipline, performance reviews and upskilling of team members
- Coordinate activities with other internal departments. Participate in management team meetings. Interface with vendors and all key service users.
Catering Manager Requirements:
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience managing a Catering Operation netting revenue of $1 million plus annually
- Valid Drivers License
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Superb organizer who's able to multi task and meet deadlines
