Description:

Registered Nurse - Night Shift Position Schedule Details

• 3x12 Night Shifts, 7pm-7am
• Every other weekend (EOW) rotation
• Holiday rotation required
• 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks (On call not required for 48 hour shifts).
• Must be available to work through the holiday season
• Must be able to float between multiple hospital locations

Position Overview

• RN Nights (7pm - 7am) with EOW/Holiday rotations
• Must be cross trained for multi units (med/surg, ICU, ER)
• Must be comfortable floating to ICU/ER/MS/MST
• Requires BSN and critical care experience

License Requirements

• Currently licensed by NYS as a registered professional nurse

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS required through AHA or the RQI system during clinical orientation
• NIHSS (AHA or RQI specifically)
• Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire

Preferred Certifications

• Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association recommended within 2 years of hire
• TNCC recommended within 2 years of hire

Required Qualifications

• NYS license, BSN
• Two years experience floating to med surg/icu/er
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills
• Computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record

• Must provide care needed by pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient groups
