Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and active IN or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the ICU unit of a hospital setting with a 7-bed capacity
- Manage critically ill adult patients with nurse to patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1
- Utilize Liberty Peritoneal Dialysis Cycler, Meditech EMR, Omnicell, Philips monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and NICOM
- 12-hour night shifts with scheduled weekend shifts required
- Floating required to all departments, including MedSurg, consistent with competency
- Provide direct nursing care, perform patient assessments, and coordinate care delivery in the ICU
- Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Professional nurse dress code is required
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience required
- Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
