ICU RN Job Details- Location: Salem, MA 01970 (Massachusetts healthcare job)
- Facility: Level III Trauma Center, 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) contract
- Start Date: December 14, 2025
- End Date: March 14, 2026
- Duration: 13-week nursing contract
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020
- Floating: Required to Medical/Surgical units as needed
- RN to Patient Ratio: 1:2 or 1:1 in ICU; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated
- Charting: EPIC EMR
- Active Massachusetts RN license (required for Massachusetts nursing jobs)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of general ICU nursing experience
- At least 2 years of continuous MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit) experience in one location
- Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
- Willingness to float to Med/Surg units (up to 4-5 patients)
- Strong clinical skills in caring for a diverse adult patient population
- Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to adult patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with attendings, residents, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams available 24/7 in the ICU
- Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios
- Demonstrate proficiency in telemetry monitoring and respond promptly to changes in patient status
- Care for patients with a range of diagnoses, including substance abuse/overdose, psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations
