A Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician provides specialized evaluations primarily focused on neurological and musculoskeletal assessments for Veterans and service members. Responsibilities include performing physical exams, range of motion testing, and record reviews without prescribing treatment. The role requires board certification, expertise in traumatic brain injury evaluation, and administrative follow-up, offered on a PRN basis in a confidential, non-medical facility.
Location: Wichita, Kansas, is a vibrant city located in the south-central part of the state. This city combines the charm of a smaller city with the amenities and attractions of a larger urban area, making it a dynamic and appealing place to visit or live. This opportunity is available in other parts of the state as well.

Opportunity:
- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Evaluations to be completed in provider portal and records are reviewed.
- Record Review is required in most cases
- Follow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics)
