Key Responsibilities: Clinical Support Manage patient flow efficiently within the clinic environment, including standard rooming procedures. Administer immunizations, injections, and medications following provider orders. Collect laboratory specimens accurately and perform basic laboratory tests as needed. Provide telephone support, facilitate communication between patients and providers, and assist with prescription refills. If credentialed, perform x-ray duties and phlebotomy tasks to support diagnostic needs. Assist with clinic-specific tasks such as prior authorizations and laboratory test processing. Clinic Operations and Support Support front desk/check-in activities, ensuring smooth patient intake processes. Maintain clinic supplies through ordering and stocking activities. Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to foster a seamless patient experience. Team Collaboration and Compliance Work under the direction of physicians, nurse supervisors, clinic managers, and other team members. Demonstrate proficiency in all assigned skills, adhering to the scope of practice outlined by the Minnesota Boards of Nursing and Medical Practice. Maintain and upgrade professional skills regularly, embracing additional responsibilities as needed to achieve organizational goals. Uphold North Memorial Health s standards by complying with privacy, legal, regulatory, and ethical guidelines. Report concerns or violations following established protocols to ensure a safe and compliant environment. Qualifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential, with active BLS certification required. Experience in a clinical setting preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Ability to perform clinical procedures such as injections, phlebotomy, and specimen collection. Excellent communication skills paired with a compassionate patient-centered approach. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility to support clinical duties across multiple specialties as needed.
