Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Arizona, requiring a current RN license and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within a hospital setting
- Care for pre-operative and post-operative patients of varying conditions
- Monday to Friday, 10-hour day shifts, four days per week
- Assignment duration is 13 weeks
- Orientation is provided every 2 weeks
- Responsible for nursing care from admission through discharge planning, including medication administration, operating specialized equipment, and emergency response
- Must follow established guidelines including physician orders, standards of care, and hospital policies
- Shared contractor housing may be available; housing application must be submitted two weeks prior to start
- No family or pets are permitted in provided housing
- COVID and flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted with a declination form
- Position is in a culturally rich and diverse rural community, serving a broad patient population including Native American tribes
Requirements
- Active RN license in any U.S. state or Compact state
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a critical care setting such as PACU, ICU, or ED
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (from American Heart Association)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Fingerprinting must be completed and cleared prior to start
