Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Outpatient Orthopedics
Location: Placentia, CA
Duration: 13 weeks (13–26 weeks preferred)
Shift: Day shift | 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 – 16:30)
Weekly Work Guarantee: 36 hours
May include occasional weekend coverage
May be required to float to other locations if census is low
Job Responsibilities and Required and Preferred Skills & Requirements:
Responsibilities:
Provide outpatient physical therapy treatment services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
Assist with implementation of individualized orthopedic treatment plans
Treat primarily outpatient orthopedic patients, with some pediatric patients
Monitor patient progress and report findings to supervising Physical Therapist
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, treatment plans, and injury prevention
Document treatments and patient progress in accordance with facility standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
Required Qualifications:
Active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
Minimum 6 months of outpatient orthopedic experience
Ability to work day shifts with flexibility for floating and occasional weekend coverage
Preferred Qualifications:
12 months of outpatient orthopedic experience
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
New graduates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
