RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work in a 30-bed medical surgical unit (2 West)
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No guaranteed block scheduling
• Float between 2 North and 2 West units
• Navy scrubs required - no fleece or sweatshirts permitted
• BLS certification required
• Must have experience with IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythms
• Advanced cardiac rhythm interpretation skills needed
• Work with equipment including wound vac, heparin drips, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanner, feeding pumps, and telemetry
• Documentation using Editech system
• Perform lab draws and IV starts
• Support includes 2-3 techs per shift, clinical coordinator, charge nurse, manager, and director
• Maintain positive attitude and provide excellent patient and family experience
• Perform service recovery as necessary and escalate issues through proper chain of command
