A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is needed for locum tenens maternity leave coverage at a rural hospital in Vermont. The role involves providing anesthesia for various surgical cases in a team-based environment with MD supervision and shared call duties. Candidates must hold NBCRNA certification and be proficient in general, regional, and OB anesthesia techniques while working with electronic medical records (Epic).

Coverage Duration: Maternity Leave Coverage
Schedule
• Four 10-hour shifts (7 AM 5 PM)
• Weeknight call: End of OR schedule 7 AM
• Weekend call: Friday end of schedule Monday 7 AM
• Call shared equally among CRNA team
Setting
• Rural hospital
• Team-based model (MD supervision + independent CRNA call)
• EMR: Epic
Case Types
• General, GYN, ENT, Urology, Ortho, GI Endoscopy, Ophthalmology (cataracts)
• Required: General, MAC, regional (spinals), and labor epidurals
Requirements
• NBCRNA certification
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Comfortable with independent practice and OB anesthesia
Support Structure
• 1 MD anesthesiologist
• 5 CRNAs
• Collaborative and supportive group
