Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Oncology night shift position requiring a KS or compact license and recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital setting on a combined oncology and general surgery unit
- Works with oncology patients as well as general surgery cases
- Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract assignment
- No local candidates accepted; candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Responsible for providing nursing care to oncology and general surgery patients
- Expected to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Dress code and scrub requirements will be provided upon hire
- Must be prepared to submit complete professional documentation including license verification and certifications
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- Current AHA or ARC BLS certification, not expiring within the first 30 days of assignment
- Chemo certification (ONC) required for all RNs working in oncology
- At least 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg or Oncology nursing
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum of one professional reference required; more may be needed depending on state
