American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department position requiring a MO or compact RN license and ACLS/PALS certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department with an integrated Pediatric ED
- Floating is required between the main ED and ED Observation unit
- Patient population includes trauma, stroke, STEMI, and pediatric cases
- Day shift schedule working 3x12 hour shifts (6:45-19:15) with alternating weekends and holidays
- Cerner EMR is used; prior experience is preferred but not required
- Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and pediatric patients
- Team includes both adult and pediatric emergency staff
- Must be able to float between ED and observation units but will not float to the psych center
- First time travelers with Level I trauma experience will be considered
- Candidates within a 75-mile radius are eligible as locals at a reduced rate
- CPI Blue Card training is available onsite if not already held
- Active MO or Compact RN license must be in hand for consideration
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required
- At least 2 years of overall nursing experience and 1 year in the ED specialty is required, with Level I trauma experience for first-time travelers
- CPI certification is preferred
- Ability to work assigned shifts, weekends, and at least 50% of holidays during the contract
