Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a current OH or compact RN license and recent hospital experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Rotating day and night shifts (7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am) with possible variable scheduling to meet operational needs
- Three 12-hour shifts per week schedule
- Patient population includes adult medical-surgical and telemetry cases
- Every other holiday coverage required
- Assignments at this hospital system cannot exceed 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month waiting period before returning for another assignment
- Submit two professional references for consideration
- Must pass required assessments during orientation
- Team-based environment with support for travelers
- Uses Qualivis Lotus for time submission
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- At least 18 months of permanent specialty experience prior to travel assignments
- AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
