Job DescriptionThe Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT/CVIS) will be responsible for preparing and assisting with cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), peripheral vascular procedures, pacemaker placements, and interventional radiology procedures. The technologist will monitor, document, and calculate hemodynamic data, providing procedural assistance to physicians before, during, and after procedures.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for cardiac procedures.
- Monitor and calculate hemodynamic data during procedures.
- Assist physicians in performing cardiac caths, PCI (STEMI), and other relevant procedures.
- Manage access site and communicate effectively with the physician.
- Adhere to on-call protocols for the Cath Lab.
- Current CVT/CVIS certification or equivalent experience.
- RCIS certification preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- IABP experience preferred.
- Direct and recent cardiac cath lab experience is required, including scrub and monitoring roles.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
