Job Details:
• Work 12.5-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed
• Charge capability highly preferred
• Floating to other units required
• Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
• Must have 2+ years of emergency department experience with some pediatric experience
• Travel experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Active New York nursing license required
• Care for patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics
• Handle common diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Work with specialty equipment including rapid infusor and Arctic Sun
• Work in 64-bed emergency department with 2 triage beds, 40 acute beds, 6 super track beds, 2 trauma beds, 10 CDU beds, and 6 psych beds

This comprehensive healthcare system operates a large 64-bed emergency department that provides critical care services to a diverse patient population. The facility is equipped with advanced specialty equipment and maintains separate areas for trauma, acute care, observation, and psychiatric patients. The emergency department handles high-acuity cases including stroke, cardiac events, trauma, and other critical conditions, requiring experienced nursing staff with strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
