Current Needs 1 FT CV Anesthesia MD 3-4 general Anesthesia MDs Duration: 6 months, possibly longer, until able to backfill MD positions with W2 employees. Position Details Roles Available: Cardiovascular (CV) Anesthesiologist: Start: ASAP Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience and TEE certification. Shifts: 8-10 hours, no call, no weekends. Average CV cases: 10-15 per day. Pediatric Anesthesia MD: Start: Q1 2025 Responsibilities: Mix of pediatric, ambulatory surgery, and general anesthesia cases. Specialties include general surgery, ortho, ENT, dental, and IR/MRI. No OB cases. Shifts: Flexible (8s, 10s, or 12s), guaranteed 40 hours/week with opportunities for additional hours if desired. Case Mix: Busy OB, trauma, designated stroke center, vascular, neuro, urology, and ortho. General cases average 3,500-4,000 per month. Support Model: Care team model with 1 MD supervising 3-4 CRNAs. Providers can supervise or handle cases independently based on preference. EMR System: Cerner with AIMS. Additional Details Duration: 6 months, with potential extensions until permanent staff are hired. Shifts for General Anesthesia: Flexible schedules (8s, 10s, or 12s). Optional in-house call for nights and weekends. Licensure: Candidates must hold a valid North Carolina license.
