RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work on 4th and 5th floor medical surgical units
• Patient ratios: 5:1 on Med Surg Specialty 4th Floor, 6:1 on Med Surg 5th Floor
• Weekend shifts are required with no on-call responsibilities
• Must have telemetry and medical surgical experience
• Preferred skills include cardiac recognition, IV starts, and time management
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Work with remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, and dynamaps
• Use Alterra (Allscripts) EMR system
• Mandatory floating as needed to inpatient rehab, ED, and PCU units
• Assignments will not exceed skill level or scope of practice
• Handle typical procedures including all abdominal surgeries, diagnostic procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, heart caths, gastric sleeves, and orthopedic procedures
• Must be team-oriented, positive, and flexible
• Dress code requires scrubs (currently black, transitioning to Medical City Blue)

This medical facility operates a comprehensive 60-bed medical surgical unit across two floors with approximately 50 staff members. The facility provides advanced medical and surgical services including cardiac procedures, orthopedic surgeries, gastric procedures, and diagnostic interventions.
