RN Telemetry
Job Overview- Minimum Experience: 2 years
(First-time travelers accepted) - Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
- Unit: Telemetry
- Ratio / Census:
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4–5
- 36 rooms with an average daily census of 35
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Charting & Unit Systems:
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS- BLS – Required
- ACLS – Required
- NIH – Preferred
REQUIRED CLINICAL EXPERIENCE- Telemetry unit experience managing patients with diagnoses including:
- CHF
- MI / Chest pain (pre- and post-cath)
- Dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants)
- Hypo-/Hypertension
- Pleural effusion
- Sepsis
- PE / DVT / Vascular issues
Scheduling & Work Requirements- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required
- Call: None
- RTO: Maximum of 7 days
Holiday Requirements- If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler must work one
- If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler must work both
- If three major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler must work two
Major Holidays Include:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving / Black Friday
- Christmas Eve / Christmas Day
- New Year’s Eve / New Year’s Day
Vaccination Requirement- Flu Vaccine: Required
