Job Details:
• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week (48-hour contracts available upon request)
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Three weekends required out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Must float first within skillset to other campus locations with 2-hour notice (Deaconess Midtown 8 miles away, Deaconess Henderson 11 miles away)
• Mid-shift float possible within same campus
• Care for combination of medical and surgical patients including confusion/behavioral health/CIWA, CHF, COPD, UTI, cellulitis, sepsis, amputations, decubitus ulcers, and general surgeries
• Perform IV fluid/antibiotic therapies, medical/post-surgical assessments, heparin drips, wound/wound vac care, and basic telemetry
• Two years of strong Med/Surg experience required, plus 1 travel assignment and trauma level II experience
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with checkoff class completion
• Current active compact nursing license required
• Required certifications: AHA BLS and NIHSS
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
• 32-bed unit expanding to 37 beds in January 2025
• Attendance policy: 3 call-ins can result in termination
