Our client, a leading academic medical center dedicated to advancing cancer care and research in the Hudson Valley, is hiring a Hematologist Oncologist Physician to join a dynamic and growing team committed to delivering personalized, state-of-the-art treatment. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a comprehensive outpatient cancer program spanning multiple subspecialties and locations. As a vital member of the oncology team, you will provide expert hematology and oncology care to diverse patient populations, collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment, and support the ongoing expansion of our innovative cancer services, including precision genomics and cellular therapies. The position offers avenues for subspecialization in areas such as bone marrow transplant, myeloma, GU, head & neck, breast, and GI oncology, with a focus on clinical excellence and research participation.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outpatient hematology/oncology care Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5 pm.
- Manage a diverse caseload across multiple locations
- Participate in the development and growth of the regional cancer program and research initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurse navigators, NPs, PAs, and pharmacists.
- Engage in subspecialty care and, where applicable, contribute to clinical and translational research projects.
- Maintain compliance with all clinical protocols, safety regulations, and documentation standards.
Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology and Oncology.
- Proven experience in outpatient cancer care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, individualized patient care.
