Job Details:

• Work as an ED/AA Float position with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
• Patient ratios range from 1:5-6 depending on acuity and need
• Acuity adaptable unit with patients ranging from MS level to PCU/stepdown/ICU level of care
• Float position that may be assigned to inpatient PCU unit - PCU experience required
• Boarding unit where patients come from ED and are boarded until discharge or transfer
• 4-bed unit that can expand to 8-10 beds with staffing adjusted based on acuity
• Team nursing environment with RN/LPN collaboration and delegation responsibilities
• Every other weekend requirement with guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 48 hours for 4x12 shifts
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• High-paced environment with up to 15 admissions per day due to constant turnover
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with high admission, discharge, and transfer volume
• 2 years experience required with travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Skills include blood product administration, central line care, cardiac drip management, telemetry monitoring, and ventilated patient care
• First-time travelers not accepted and local candidates not accepted
• Floating required 100% of the time within hospital or affiliate facilities
• Charge pay opportunity available with additional compensation
