Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - Pediatric
Job Details:
• Manage approximately 2 patient encounters per shift
• Provide specialized pediatric and neonatal surgical care
• Perform various laparoscopic procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication
• Conduct head/neck surgery including thyroid procedures
• Perform chest wall/pleural procedures and breast surgery
• Complete GI endoscopy procedures (upper and lower, including sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy)
• Handle minor orthopedics and hand surgery cases
• Manage ventilation, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement
• Perform vascular surgeries including thoracic and abdominal aneurysm repairs, arterial bypass, and AV shunt procedures
• Address specialized pediatric surgical needs including artesias (esophageal, intestinal, biliary), abdominal wall defects, diaphragmatic hernia, imperforate anus, and PDA ligation
• Must be board certified or board eligible with current AZ license
• Required certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, and laser certification
• Trauma experience preferred
• Fellowship trained (3 years) preferred
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
