The role includes diagnosing, treating, and coordinating care for patients during their hospital stay, working closely with specialists, nurses, and support staff to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. The candidate should have excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate is committed to patient-centered, evidence-based care.Specialty backup includes surgeons to perform central line insertions, respiratory therapists, Emergency Medicine physicians and CRNAs. Brattleboro Memorial Hospital will consider J1-Visa candidates.Requirements Education:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Experience:- 2-3 years' experience as a Hospitalist preferred
- Experience in rural health preferred but not required.
- Vent management experience required.
- Experience running codes.
Licensure/Certification: - Active an unrestricted Vermont State medical license.
- Valid Vermont DEA license
- BLS, ACLS certification
