Job Details: Location: Virginia (near MAX MEADOWS, VA) Start Date: February 3, 2025 End Date: February 21, 2025 Specialty: Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient care Call: Shared call, 1:1 ratio with an average of 2-3 phone consults per day Patients Per Shift: Up to 25 Rounding: Both inpatient and outpatient rounding required Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care in both outpatient and inpatient settings Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) Perform patient consultations and treatment management in Hematology and Oncology Be available for on-call responsibilities, with a response time of 30 minutes Ensure patient safety and quality of care through collaboration with the medical team Required Qualifications: Board Certification: No specific board certification required, but board eligibility in Internal Medicine is necessary Licensure: Must be licensed in Virginia Experience: Previous experience in Internal Medicine with a focus on Hematology and Oncology is preferred Credentialing: Typically takes 30 days for approval Other Requirements: Basic life support (BLS) certification is not mandatory, but provider must meet other basic clinical requirements Additional Information: Number of Support Staff Provided: 3 Registered Nurses (RNs), 1 Medical Assistant (MA), 1 Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), and 3 office staff Hospital Privileges: Temporary privileges are available Travel & Lodging: Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the vendor.
