WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a L&D Nurse a for a 13-week contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Albany, NY. The weekly pay for this position is $2,400 a week.
Job Function:
- Day/Night Shift.
- 3x12 + EOW.
Monitor the mother’s vital signs, fetal heart rate, and overall labor progress, documenting all findings accurately.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidurals as ordered, and provide pain management support.
Assist physicians or midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care.
Educate and support patients and families throughout the labor, birth, and recovery process.
Respond to obstetric emergencies and implement appropriate interventions to ensure the safety of both mother and baby.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
- 2 years of acute care experience in this specialty
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
