We areseeking an experienced OB Hospitalist Physician to provide locum coverage at aLevel III hospital in Davenport, Iowa. The position offers flexible 12- or24-hour hospital call shifts with weekend coverage and a supportive workenvironment.
AssignmentDetails: - Shift Type: 12-hour (8 AM - 8 PM) or 24-hour (8 AM - 8 AM) hospital call shifts
- Schedule: Monday-Friday with some weekends; NO OVERTIME
- Call Ratio : 1:5, schedule available 1-2 months in advance
- Practice Setting : OB & GYN, hospital-based, trauma Level III
- On-Call Requirements: 12 or 24 hours, flat rate with on-site sleep room provided
KeyResponsibilities:
Obstetrics: - Manage low-risk pregnancies (e.g., twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis)
- Manage high-risk pregnancies (e.g., toxemia, diabetes, Class II+ cardiac, chronic lung/renal disease)
- FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
- Perform OB Level I/screening ultrasounds (viability)
- Amniocentesis
Labor& Delivery: - Routine deliveries: vaginal, low-forceps, decision-making for C-section
- Complicated deliveries: C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions
- VBACs
- Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
Gynecology: - Open surgical gynecology
- Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromal tubation)
- Operative/major procedures including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs
Qualifications: - Board Certified in OB/GYN (FM OB not accepted)
- Active Iowa license or IMLC with LOQ at time of submission
- Fetal monitoring experience
