Seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for a 3-month contract-to-hire in Salem, OR to monitor and audit manufacturing production, perform lab analysis on raw materials and finished products, and document non-conforming items. Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be an integral part of the quality assurance department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to quality management, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Location: Salem, OR
Pay Range: $20.00/hour
Position Type: 3-Month Contract-to-Hire
Shift: 7:00am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday
What's the Job?
- Monitor and audit production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Read and interpret product specifications to verify product conformity
- Perform laboratory analysis on raw materials and finished products according to work instructions
- Place non-conforming products on “hold,” document their status, and communicate findings to supervisors and QA managers
- Assist in special projects and ensure accurate data collection and record-keeping
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, food manufacturing experience preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly desired
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with strong initiative and reliability
