Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum position requiring L&D experience and proficiency in circulating for C-sections.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum unit within a hospital setting
- Care for mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process, including labor, delivery, immediate recovery, and postpartum
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00pm – 7:00am
- Requires experience in triage for OB and preference for circulating C-section procedures
- Deliver comprehensive, population-appropriate care to patients with complex needs
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams for evaluation and planning of patient care
- Provide patient and family education related to postpartum, recovery, and newborn care
- Engage in departmental goals, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective practices
- Expectation to report to lab for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
- Start dates may be adjusted based on background and drug screen results
Requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state required
- Minimum one year of nursing experience required, with specific experience in Labor & Delivery
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Ability to circulate for C-section procedures
