This locum tenens position is for a board-certified Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide comprehensive cancer and blood disorder care in a rural hospital and clinic setting near Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves managing a caseload of 12-15 adult and geriatric patients per day, participating in call rotations, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary support team. Required credentials include Pennsylvania licensure or IMLC acceptance, BLS, ACLS, DEA certifications, and 1-2 years of experience.

- Consistent Schedule: Work a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM, with an unpaid 30-minute lunch. The position includes a call rotation that is to be determined.
- Balanced Workload: Your daily census will be a manageable 12-15 adult and geriatric patients. You will handle a mix of new referral patients, including both oncology and hematology cases, as well as inpatient consults.
- Supportive Team: You'll work with a robust support staff, including a director, a clinical RN supervisor, 9 oncology RNs, 2 nurse navigators, 4 medical assistants, and pharmacists.
- EMR Systems: The facility uses ONCO EMR for the clinic and Cerner for the hospital.
- Rural Hospital Setting: The facility is a 219-bed Critical Access Hospital with an Adult Trauma Level II/III designation.
- Quick Privileging: The estimated time to secure full privileges is 60-90 days. Temporary privileges can be granted for a quicker start.
- Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in both a clinic and hospital setting.
- Manage a caseload of 12-15 adult and geriatric patients per day.
- Handle inpatient consults and new referral patients.
- Refer patients to Interventional Radiology for bone marrow biopsies when necessary.
- Participate in the call rotation.
- Board Status: Board-Certified in Hematology/Oncology is required.
- Licensure: An active Pennsylvania State License is required, but the facility will accept an IMLC. We are not able to license for this position.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and DEA are required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience is required.
