We are seeking a Plant Manager to lead operations at a manufacturing and commercial glass company that has been a stable presence in the industry for over 50 years

Plant Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Operations Management, or a related field (Associate's degree or equivalent relevant experience considered with 5+ years of direct industry experience).
- 5+ years of manufacturing management and cross-functional experience (fabrication, assembly, materials management, quality, process improvement).
- 3+ years of P&L experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of operations experience.
- Experience in glass manufacturing is preferred.
Plant Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience and training in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing techniques/tools.
- Strong leadership, manufacturing, and quality control skills.
- General understanding of financial statements.
- Technical skills in materials and inventory management, production scheduling, and preventative maintenance.
Plant Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Direct department heads in customer service, quality, production, maintenance, and shipping.
- Oversee daily operations with a focus on people, quality, service, and cost.
- Evaluate internal quality control procedures and maintain world-class quality and service.
- Develop a growth plan that exceeds sales expectations and establish strong customer relationships.
- Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives through training and process optimization.
- Create annual budgets and monitor financial performance while managing headcount and staffing needs.
