Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing critically ill patients, particularly those recovering from cardiac surgeries such as CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the CVICU.
- Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion and removal, BiPAP, and CPAP management.
- Perform vital assessments and closely monitor hemodynamics and treatment responses.
- Manage and administer medications, including IV sedation and cardiac drips.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience.
- Current New Jersey RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Experience with CVICU patients, including post-operative cardiac care.
- Preferred experience with devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT.
