Position Details:
- Position: Locum Tenens - Gastroenterologist
- Location: Near Saco, ME
- Start Date: January 1, 2025
- Schedule: Monday Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Practice Setting: Combination of office, clinic, hospital, and endoscopy suite
- Clinical Areas: Adult patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Daily Caseload:
- Office/Clinic: 12-14 patients per day
- Hospital-based Procedures: 10-12 per day
Required Procedures:
- Small Bowel Biopsy
- Lower GI Endoscopy
- Sigmoidoscopy
- Colonoscopy
- Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube
- Upper GI Endoscopy with various treatments, including:
- Biopsy
- Foreign Body Removal
- Fulguration of Bleeders (Cautery or Laser)
- Injection/Banding of Varices
- PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
Required Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Valid medical license and NPI
- Proficient in a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System:
- EPIC experience preferred
