The Electrophys Lab Tech I assists physicians during invasive electrophysiology procedures by providing both direct and indirect patient care. They maintain and operate EP Lab equipment and support patient sedation during cardiac interventions. This role requires relevant healthcare certification and ongoing credentialing such as RCIS or RCES within 24 months.
Overview: Assisting the physician in performance of invasive electrophysiology procedures. Has basic knowledge of EP Lab equipment and the maintenance of it while administering direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Provides direct and indirect care during established procedures and sedation for patients. Responsibilities: Assisting the physician in performance of invasive electrophysiology procedures. - Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), EP program graduate, Respiratory Therapist, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, or Radiology Technologist Required
- No experience required Required
- Based on healthcare experience (see above) applicable license . If a graduate of RCIS or EP program, no license is Required
- BCLS and ACLS Required
- Must obtain RCIS/RCES within 24 months Required
